Thank you so much for your interest in my practice. My name is Dr. Kavita Ajmere, Licensed Psychologist. Like so many of you, I’ve been quite committed to my own educational experience. I am a certified yoga instructor and psychologist. I have continued to train extensively in mind body connection and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am honored to be working as a psychologist, and supporting a mission I so profoundly believe in.

Perhaps one of the most important lessons I’ve learned as a professional is that far too many of the strategies we use for helping others simply don’t address the whole person – mind, body and spirit. The primary modes of therapy I offer include individual and family therapy, and different circumstances may call for different modes. For example, while a person’s main mode of therapy may be individual, family therapy may prove beneficial during a separation or divorce. A teen or tween experiencing mental health concerns may benefit from having family members join a session or a few sessions in order to discuss areas of concern that may be hindering recovery or to discuss progress or setbacks. My area of specialization is in understanding girls and women’s psychological health.
